All 8 NJHL teams were in action on Friday night this weekend, with a couple of double digit games, which saw the High Prairie Red Wings dominate the Northern Alberta Lightning 10-0, while the Redwater Pioneers doubled up 10-5 on the Thunder in Claresholm. The Lac La Biche Lakers pulled off an upset in Edson, knocking off the Eagles 6-4 led by an Ethan Christian hat trick. The Crowsnest Crush rounded out the Friday Night Action, beating the Rampage 4-2 in Vulcan.
Saturdays' main event was a rematch between the Eagles and the Lakers, with the Lakers able to pull out another 6-4 victory at home. The Pioneers continued their road trip into Vulcan with a 5-2 win, while the Lightning beat the Thunder in the "Storm Showdown", scoring 6 unanswered goals after Ryan Cunningham opened the scoring with Claresholm's only tally.
Sundays' only game saw the Pioneers complete their "sweep of the south" with a hard-fought 4-2 victory in Crowsnest, with Storm Burns putting the icing on the cake with an empty net goal.
