Weekend Recap: February 21st - 23rd

The next-to-last weekend of NJHL action saw some exciting matchups indeed. In some pre-playoff matchups there were a few great battles Friday, with the Northern Alberta Lightning beating the Pioneers 7-5,  Lac La Biche Lakers Edging the High Prairie Red Wings 4-3, and the Crowsnest Crush defeating the Vulcan Rampage 1-0. All these series should be great ones come playoff time!  

Other action saw the Edson Eagles beat the Claresholm Thunder on Friday, as well as the Lightning 13-2 on Saturday. The Rampage defeated the Thunder 10-2 with the help of a Nathan Johnstone hat trick. Sundays action Crowsnest "Crush" the Thunder, while Edson wounded out their weekend with an 8-2 victory over the Lightning. Stay tuned for the Playoff scheduling, as well as the League Award Winners!
