Weekend Recap: December 6th to 8th

This weekend showed that the powerhouse Edson Eagles are indeed mortal, as they dropped their second and third losses of the season, first to Lac La Biche on Friday. In one of the most exciting games of the year so far, Grayson Joseph capped off his hat trick with a tally in the 6-5 shootout win. Sundays loss was to the Redwater Pioneers in a 4-2 decision. Friday also saw the High Prairie Red Wings beat the Northern Alberta Lightning  5-3 and Vulcan Rampage beat the Claresholm Thunder 12-5. Saturdays action had the Pioneers bringing the Lakers back down to earth with a 5-2 victory and the Red Wings beating the lightning for a second time with a 7-4 win with Ty Cunningham and Tate Paul each notching 2 goals apiece. The other game Saturday saw the Crush hand a 7-2 loss to the Rampage in "The Crowsnest".
