"The NJHL acknowledges recent statements from the community of Slave Lake and the Slave Lake Ice Dogs. We confirm that the NJHL remains in discussions with the community of Slave Lake for placement of a new team for the upcoming season(s). Further, the NJHL has no affiliation with the Slave Lake Ice Dogs, who were unable to perform or agree to terms and conditions as set out by our league".
