ADVANCEMENT ALERT - Deondre McCarthy

Advancement Alert - Deondre McCarthy

The National Jungle Hockey League is proud to congratulate former NJHL defenceman Deondre McCarthy on signing with the Minnesota Northern Lights of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL)!

McCarthy spent two seasons with teams from our league, beginning with the Northern Alberta Tomahawks in 2022-23, where he recorded an impressive 53 points (9 goals, 44 assists) in 34 games. He followed that up with the Edson Eagles in 2023-24, adding 13 points in 15 games from the blue line.

Now taking the next step into professional hockey, McCarthy is another example of the talent and opportunities coming out of our league.

Congratulations, Deondre!
